My Book is Featured!

One of the greatest joys of writing is seeing your work come to life, sparking conversations, and creating meaningful impact. When What If?, the picture book I co-authored with Liyana Taff, was featured in The Vibes, it felt like a significant milestone - not just as an author, but as someone passionate about empowering children and their caregivers.

What If? was born from a deep desire to create a resource that addresses critical topics like personal safety, body boundaries, and consent. As parents, educators, and community members, we often struggle with finding the right words to talk about these sensitive yet essential issues. This book, aimed at children aged 3 to 8, was our way of starting those conversations in a gentle, approachable way.

When The Vibes spotlighted our book, I was deeply moved by their recognition of its purpose. They highlighted how What If? provides not just a story but also a comprehensive discussion guide for parents, teachers, and caregivers. This guide is something we included intentionally, knowing how important it is to support adults in navigating these topics with confidence and clarity.

In their feature, The Vibes captured the essence of what we hoped to achieve with this book: empowering children to set boundaries while equipping adults with tools to guide them. It’s heartening to see such a positive response from the media, reinforcing the importance of these conversations in our homes and schools.

As I reflect on this journey, I am reminded of the power of storytelling. A simple picture book can become a bridge to deeper understanding, a tool for empowerment, and a means to connect generations. I am immensely grateful to everyone who has supported What If?; from the readers who’ve shared their feedback to media outlets like The Vibes that amplify its message.

If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to check out the full article on The Vibes. It’s a wonderful exploration of how books like What If? can spark meaningful change.

And as always, thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can create a world where every child feels safe, valued, and heard.
